7 Must Have Wedding Signs

When planning your wedding décor, one of the elements we often see being overlooked is the wedding signage, however the signage is actually one of the first elements your guests see on arrival. While it may seem like a small detail, singage plays a key role in the flow of your wedding.

From welcoming guests to explaining where to sign the guestbook, to where to find their seat, signs can be used for almost everything. So before you start labelling the wine glasses, check out our 7 must have signs to get that inspiration flowing

Welcome sign:

The welcome sign does exactly what they say, they welcome your guests to your celebration. These signs let your guests know they are in the right place and where they are supposed to be. If you don’t have a wedding planner, or staff member available to greet them, this is a perfect way to ensure they know they are in the right spot. Welcome signs typically include the couples name, wedding date and venue or location.

Guest book:

Guest books serve as a wonderful momento to look back on over the years as well as to share with friends and family that were unable to attend in person. It is important for all our guests so sign it, so it’s location needs to be clear. You can also direction your guests on what kind of message you would like for them to leave you: ie write your favourite memory of us as a couple.

Ceremony Running Order:

You and your planner may know the timeline of the day back to front, but remember you guests have no idea of what is in store for them. Let your guests know the flow of the day, and include details like if your favourite poems, quotes and more.

Directions:

If you are having your wedding in a large or outdoor space, you might want to consider giving your guests directions. This is very important if your ceremony and reception are taking place in different locations.

Bar Signs:

Remember to let your guests know if you have an open or cash bar. Are you only serving wine and beer? Do you have a signature cocktail on offer? If so, let your guests know the name as well as the ingredients here.

Seating Chart:

This is an extremely important element for your day and needs to be clearly visible for your guests to view. Make sure to list what table your guests will be sitting at.

Table Stationery:

These are our favourite element and can really bring a theme to life. On the table, think about including a menu, a placecard and a thank you note. There are many ways you can combine these into one card or you can have 3 different pieces. The world is really your oyster here.

If you need help with your stationery- pop us a mail to info@megara.co.za and we will gladly assist you further.

How To Host Virtual Events

Suddenly May has arrived, businesses are slowly beginning to open up under level 4 and will hopefully continue to do so as we move towards our new normal.

Slowly, and together, we are figuring it out and there seems to be a buzz of energy about the future, but what is clear is that for the remainder of 2020 and perhaps 2021, virtual events are going to be the way forward.
