Feel like your company’s workplace morale is in need of a boost?

Gifts are an important part of human interactions. Whether you’re working remotely or from the office, a healthy workplace morale is something that should always be maintained. Not only does gifting make employees feel noticed and valued, but it also allows employees to feel more connected to the company and thus boosts workplace morale. And although gifting may just seem like another employee incentive, corporate gifting DOESN’T have to be boring.

Here are a few of our top tips for corporate gifting and what you should keep in mind when choosing the perfect gift:

Make corporate swag personal

Of course, the first thing people’s minds jump to when they hear corporate swag is the traditional corporate logo plastered on anything and everything. Our tip – less is more. Using your corporate logo in moderation often makes your swag more inviting…and more usable for your giftees. Instead of putting your logo on every item, you could also consider including your gift in a branded bag with only a few branded items inside.

Choose useful items

Whether your corporate gift is to welcome new members, wish them a happy holiday, or to thank them, make sure you choose items that your employees/giftees will be able to use in the future. Desk essentials don’t have to be boring – personalise them with something funny or your employees’ names. If you’ve got a bigger budget, opt for a more functional gift such as a wireless phone charger.

Our ideas: Customised power bank charger, a business card and post-it set, a sustainable market fruit & veggie mesh bag set

Include a handwritten card

A handwritten card/note is a great way to make your corporate gift more personal. This doesn’t have to be a long note, in fact we suggest going with a short and sweet message. If the scale of your gifting is too large, include printed cards and have the CEO sign each one of them instead. This is also a good opportunity to include your company logo on the card to give the gift a professional and polished look.

Mix fun with functional

While you want to make sure your gifting will be used by your employees, they might also appreciate something fun! A coffee flask is always appreciated but pairing it with locally sourced artisanal rusks or chocolates may be REALLY appreciated.

Our ideas: A Gin Infusion Kit, Cheese, and Wine Pairing Box, a Teapot and Infuser or a Bluetooth Shower Speaker

Your employee gifting doesn’t have to cost a fortune or should cause you any strain. Instead, it is the gesture itself that should be the main part of the gift, leaving your employees feeling valued and boosting the overall workplace morale. Hopefully, the above tips are helpful when it comes to planning your very own corporate gift!
